Painted Flowers Hanging
This wall hanging is handcrafted from fine porcelain clay rolled out, cut, carved and smoothed before being fired, carefully painted and fired again.
I’ve finished it a white/gold ribbon and a threaded stainless steel wire with glass beads, amethyst and recycled pearls. This means the weight is distributed across the ribbons, allowing the beads to features as adornments without holding the hanging up structurally.
This artwork is a labour of love, crafted slowly over months with the intention to brighten up a space and invite the good things in. A little token of spring time blooming to sit with you through the seasons.
The hanging is approximately 16x12cm and it hangs around 12cm.
